Panoramas of Rio

October 8, 2007 | By More

As I prepared the October desktop calendar, I rescued a series of panoramic photos I took in Rio three years ago.

The first one is a panorama of the mythical Maracanã stadium:

Maracanã, Rio de Janeiro

The second one is a panoramic view from the top of the Corcovado mountain, with the Sugar Loaf across:

And the third piccie is a panorama of Rio from the top of the Sugar Loaf mountain, with the Corcovado across:

To see their photographs at their best, and for as long as the resolution of your monitor allows, choose Large on the menu that appears right below the photographs. The views are incredible, moving, breath-taking – the pictures are not, they were taken on days when Rio had an annoying fog over the city, with the ocassional sunny spells.

Check my Rio de Janeiro photo album at Flickr.
