I’m beginning today a series of ten entries presenting videos from the artists I wrote about at Top 10: Brazilian music (B-sides). I will follow the alphabetical order I used on that entry.
The first artist is Antonio Nóbrega and his trademark rabeca (the fiddle from the popular tradition). I’ve chosen two live performances as it doesn’t make much sense to watch Nóbrega on a studio recording. He’s a spectacular performer and his music challenges quite a few clichés.
