Tanabata Matsuri 2009 in São Paulo
The 2009 edition of the traditional Tanabata Matsuri Japanese festival takes places on the 11th and 12rd of July (Saturday and Sunday) on the Japanese district of Liberdade, in São Paulo.
We attended the festival a couple of years ago and wrote a blog entry about the event. To us, the Tanabata is when the Liberdade looks at its best. Chances are the district will be crowded all throughout the weekend, but we absolutely recommend it. If you happen to be in São Paulo this coming weekend, don’t miss it!
There is more info at the Tanabata Matsuri official website.
