tambor de crioula (São Luís)

We hit the road during the second fortnight in June. Two consecutive trips to the Amazon and the Pantanal that should result in plenty of blog posts in weeks to come. As a result of our trips the month was slightly shorter than usual here at the blog.

We began June breathing true world cup fever. To enhance this feeling we told you that FIFA would be organizing a Fan Fest in Rio de Janeiro during the 2010 World Cup.

At prices of taxi rides in Brazil we saw three websites that show estimates for taxi rides across many different Brazilian cities.

Back to the Brazilian capital for an entry about sighsteeing in Brasilia.

We gave some tips on finding hotels in Rio de Janeiro.

Sad news at mayor’s folly: project to light up the Iguaçu falls.

We re-visited that awesome festival known as bumba-meu-boi.

And finally, we had a look at the World touristiness map.
