a new shuttle bus from Brasilia airport to town

From 29 April, passengers arriving in Brasilia international airport can take a new shuttle service to town. The service, known as Linha Executivo Aeroporto, has air-conditioning and tv. It is announced free wi-fi will soon be offered to its users.

The details of the service are:

  • Route. AirportEsplanada dos MinistériosRodoviária do Plano Piloto (Brasilia’s bus station) – Setores Hoteleiros Sul and Norte (the two neighbourhoods where most Brasilia hotels are located)- back to the airport.
  • Working days. 7 days a week, bank holidays included.
  • Schedule. Departures from the airport are as follows. Weekdays: 06:30 – 07:00 – 07:30 – 07:50 – 08:00 – 08:20 – 08:50 – 09:10 – 09:20 – 09:40 – 10:10 – 10:30 – 10:40 – 11:00 – 11:30 – 11:50 – 12:00 – 12:20 – 12:50 – 13:10 – 13:20 – 13:40 – 14:10 – 14:30 – 14:40 – 15:00 – 15:30 – 15:50 – 16:00 – 16:20 – 16:50 – 17:20 – 17:30 – 17:40 – 18:10 – 18:40 – 14:50 – 19:00 – 19:30 – 20:00- 20:10 – 20:20 – 20:40 – 21:00 – 21:20 – 21:40 – 21:50 – 22:00 – 22:20 – 22:40 – 22:50 – 23:00. Weekends: 06:30 – 07:05 – 07:35 – 08:10 – 08:45 – 09:20 – 09:55 – 10:30 – 11:05 – 11:40 – 12:15 – 12:50 – 13:20 – 13:55 – 14:30 – 15:05 – 15:40 – 16:15 – 16:50 – 17:20 – 17:55 – 18:30 – 19:05 – 19:40 – 20:15 – 20:55 – 21:30 – 22:05 – 22:40 – 23:15.
  • Price. The ride costs R$8.
  • Website. The service doesn’t have its own website. At the Sociedade de Transportes Coletivos de Brasília‘s website you can download a PDF file with the service schedule.

It is with measures like the introduction of this new service that Brazil becomes a more tourist-friendly country. The introduction of the service in Brasilia was kept on hold for years due to the pressure exercised by the lobby of taxi drivers.
