August is over and it is time to look back at the stories published during the month. From now, our monthly summary of blog posts will consolidate texts from all our sources on Brazil, including this Brazil Travel Blog but also D Airfare and the World Cup Brazil 2014.

Brazil Travel Blog

Always concerned with traveling costs, we learned that Natal is the most expensive capital in Northeast Brazil.

We found out which are the the Brazilian states most visited by foreign tourists, and found a few surprises along the way.

We compiled an index of blog posts on the Amazon region. Still on the region, we were amazed to learn that Google’s Street View is going to the Amazon region!

Another Google topic, as you can now check the weather in Google Maps – for Brazil and the rest of the world

Finally, great news for Rio, the city might be gaining a counterpart for the London Eye.

D Airfare

On our blog on aviation news we warned that Lan is to cease its Lima to Brasilia flight.

We learned that Turkish is to add a fifth Istanbul-São Paulo flight in 2012.

Another airline quitting Brazil is El Al, ceasing its flights to Brazil.

Aerolíneas Argentinas announced Mendoza-São Paulo flight (via Córdoba), without a definite launch date yet.

Tam is selling tickets for its new Mexico City flight, from USD830 and has also entered an interline agreement with JetBlue.

Excellent news for European travellers as Singapore Airlines intends to make its São Paulo-Barcelona a daily flight.

The World Cup Brazil 2014

On our site on the forthcoming football world cup we learned that Brazil will only play at the largest stadia.

We saw a video with the tourist sights at the state of Amazonas.

Pelé is on the news as he has been appointed 2014 World Cup Honorary Ambassador.

Finally, the new São Paulo stadium got the FIFA go-ahead.
