<p>Today&#8217;s blog post consolidates texts from all our sources on Brazil, including this <strong>Brazil Travel Blog</strong> but also <strong>D Airfare</strong> and <strong>the World Cup Brazil 2014</strong>. This is a summary of blog posts published during the month of October.</p>
<p>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;<br />
<strong>Brazil Travel Blog</strong></p>
<p>The month began with a look at yet another institutional video, with the main tourist sights of the state of <a href="http://www.braziltravelblog.com/2012/01/06/institutional-videos-minas-gerais/">Minas Gerais</a>. The list of videos is coming to an end.</p>
<p>We embarked on a virtual trip along the coastline of Brazil to find out more about <a href="http://www.braziltravelblog.com/2012/01/09/nudism-and-nudist-beaches-the-situation-in-brazil/">nudism and nudist beaches</a>, a topic on which we hadn&#8217;t written much yet.</p>
<p>Our weekly shot saw how we had <a href="http://www.braziltravelblog.com/2012/01/13/weekly-shot-lunch-by-the-majestic-river-negro/">lunch by the majestic river Negro</a>.</p>
<p>This time it is not just us who state the obvious: <a href="http://www.braziltravelblog.com/2012/01/16/brazil-needs-new-strategies-to-attract-foreign-tourists/">Brazil needs new strategies to attract foreign tourists</a>. The way the promotion of Brazil as a tourist destination is being handled, I would also suggest a replacement of those responsible for it, bringing in people aware of the way travelers plan their trips in 2012.</p>
<p>We saw how the <a href="http://www.braziltravelblog.com/2012/01/19/rio-de-janeiro-as-seen-by-its-inhabitants/">population of Rio de Janeiro perceive the tourism potential of their own city</a>.</p>
<p>Back on the Amazon we learned a bit more about <a href="http://www.braziltravelblog.com/2012/01/23/rubber-and-sustainable-development-in-the-amazon/">rubber and sustainable development in the region</a>. If you get the chance to do some community-based tourism in the region you&#8217;ll see rubber tapping first-hand.</p>
<p>As the carnival dates approach we turned our eyes to <a href="http://www.braziltravelblog.com/2012/01/27/carnaval-de-rua-2012-the-rio-carnival-on-the-streets/">carnaval de rua 2012, the Rio carnival on the streets</a>.</p>
<p>To finish the month, we traveled to the Brazilian capital to learn more about its <a href="http://www.braziltravelblog.com/2012/01/30/brasilia-25-years-as-a-unesco-world-heritage-site/">25 years as a Unesco World Heritage Site</a>.</p>
<p>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;<br />
<strong>D Airfare</strong></p>
<p>American airline <a href="http://www.dairfare.com/delta-intends-to-increase-its-presence-in-brazil/">Delta intends to increase its presence in Brazil</a>.</p>
<p>A new international route to Brazil is on the cards as <a href="http://www.dairfare.com/aerosur-announces-route-sao-paulo-santa-cruz-ciudad-de-panama/">Aerosur announces route São Paulo – Santa Cruz – Ciudad de Panamá</a>.</p>
<p>Things are moving on the airport sector as <a href="http://www.dairfare.com/6-february-date-for-the-auction-of-three-brazilian-airports/">on 6 February there will be an auction for the running of three Brazilian airports</a>. In the meantime, we observed in admiration the <a href="http://www.dairfare.com/the-incredible-growth-of-viracopos-airport-in-sao-paulo/">incredible growth of Viracopos airport, in São Paulo</a>.</p>
<p>A promo code issued by TAM airlines gave <a href="http://www.dairfare.com/tams-promo-code-gives-a-15-discount/">a 15% discount</a> in flights to Europe.</p>
<p>As a result of a decision taken by the Argentinian authorities, <a href="http://www.dairfare.com/lan-forced-to-rescheduled-flights-from-buenos-aires-to-sao-paulo/">Lan was forced to rescheduled flights from Buenos Aires to São Paulo</a>.</p>
<p>There are new connections to Germany on the way, as <a href="http://www.dairfare.com/lufthansa-adding-an-additional-weekly-flight-to-its-frankfurt-to-rio-de-janeiro-flight/">Lufthansa adds an additional weekly flight to its Frankfurt to Rio de Janeiro flight</a>.</p>
<p>A new option to fly between Argentina and Brazil emerges as <a href="http://www.dairfare.com/turkish-wants-to-fly-from-sao-paulo-to-buenos-aires/">Turkish wants to fly from São Paulo to Buenos Aires</a>.</p>
<p>Good news at the airport as passengers will hopefully have <a href="http://www.dairfare.com/a-slightly-easier-ride-through-customs/">a slightly easier ride through customs</a>.</p>
<p>A new international route to Brazil is established as <a href="http://www.dairfare.com/copa-announces-new-panama-city-to-recife-flight/">Copa announces its new Panama City to Recife flight</a>.</p>
<p>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;<br />
<strong>The World Cup Brazil</strong></p>
<p>The never-ending struggle between <a href="http://www.theworldcupbrazil2014.com/fifa-and-the-brazilian-authorities-a-never-ending-struggle/">FIFA and the Brazilian authorities</a> continues.</p>
<p>It is being announced <a href="http://www.theworldcupbrazil2014.com/world-cup-mascot-brazilians-will-be-heard/">that Brazilians will be heard on the choice of the World Cup mascot</a>.</p>
<p>We were not that surprised to know that <a href="http://www.theworldcupbrazil2014.com/russias-world-cup-preparations-ahead-of-brazils/">Russia’s World Cup preparations are ahead of Brazil’s</a>.</p>

<p>Today&#8217;s blog post consolidates texts from all our sources on Brazil, including this <strong>Brazil Travel Blog</strong> but also <strong>D Airfare</strong> and <strong>the World Cup Brazil 2014</strong>. This is a summary of blog posts published during the month of December.</p>
<p>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;<br />
<strong>Brazil Travel Blog</strong></p>
<p>Up until recently, Brazilian standards for accommodation were pretty meaningless. It would seem things are about to change with the implementation of <a href="http://www.braziltravelblog.com/2011/12/05/new-brazilian-standards-for-types-of-accomodation/">new Brazilian standards for types of accomodation</a>.</p>
<p>The Brazil Travel Blog joins a new social network, with our new <a href="http://www.braziltravelblog.com/2011/12/07/the-brazil-travel-blog-is-now-on-google/">Google+ page</a>.</p>
<p>At our photo of the week section we saw <a href="http://www.braziltravelblog.com/2011/12/09/weekly-shot-cruise-ships-in-brazil/">cruise ships in Brazil</a>, what <a href="http://www.braziltravelblog.com/2011/12/16/weekly-shot-going-insane-in-fortaleza/">going insane in Fortaleza</a> is like, </p>
<p>Búzios has <a href="http://www.braziltravelblog.com/2011/12/13/a-new-tourist-attraction-for-buzios-rio-de-janeiro/">a new tourist attraction</a>, although it is not being listed at the two official Búzios websites.</p>
<p>We showed a splendid way of visiting a handful of Brazilian destinations at <a href="http://www.braziltravelblog.com/2011/12/19/brasil-360%c2%b0-experience-panoramic-videos-of-brazil/">Brasil 360° Experience – panoramic videos of Brazil</a>.</p>
<p>We decided to end the year at the blog in a fantastic way, looking at the <a href="http://www.braziltravelblog.com/2011/12/21/new-years-eve-in-rio-de-janeiro-2011-2012/">New Year’s Eve in Rio de Janeiro 2011 – 2012</a>.</p>
<p>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;<br />
<strong>D Airfare</strong></p>
<p>We started the month with the news that young Brazilian airline <a href="http://www.dairfare.com/azul-getting-ready-to-fly-abroad/">Azul is getting ready to fly abroad</a>.</p>
<p>We warned about recent reports on <a href="http://www.dairfare.com/luggage-theft-at-guarulhos-international-airport-in-sao-paulo/">luggage theft at Guarulhos international airport in São Paulo</a>.</p>
<p>One of the best airlines in the world might be doubling its presence in Brazil, as we informed in <a href="http://www.dairfare.com/qatar-airways-on-its-way-to-rio-de-janeiro/">Qatar Airways on its way to Rio de Janeiro?</a>.</p>
<p>Iberia announces <a href="http://www.dairfare.com/new-frequencies-for-iberias-madrid-to-rio-de-janeiro-flight/">new frequencies for its Madrid to Rio de Janeiro flight</a>.</p>
<p>Uruguay&#8217;s Pluna is consolidating its expansion into the Brazilian market. A good example of the move is <a href="http://www.dairfare.com/pluna-aiming-at-six-new-brazilian-destinations-from-its-hub-in-montevideo/">its intention to fly to six new Brazilian destinations from its hub in Montevideo</a>.</p>
<p>Tam and Lan joined forces a while ago and now the merger received the <a href="http://www.dairfare.com/brazilian-authorities-approve-tam-lan-merger/">approval of the Brazilian authorities.</a></p>
<p>And we put an end to a year of aviation news with the news that <a href="http://www.dairfare.com/tam-and-turkish-airlines-sign-a-code-share-agreement/">Tam and Turkish Airlines had signed a code-share agreement</a>.</p>
<p>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;<br />
<strong>The World Cup Brazil</strong></p>
<p>We saw a video introducing <a href="http://www.theworldcupbrazil2014.com/video-tourist-sights-at-the-state-of-rio-de-janeiro/">the tourist sights at the state of Rio de Janeiro</a>.</p>
<p>Although at the time being only Brazil is guaranteed on its own World Cup, the calendar of matches has been released and we prepared a special pdf file for you to check it out at <a href="http://www.theworldcupbrazil2014.com/world-cup-brazil-2014-the-calendar/">the calendar of the World Cup Brazil</a>.</p>
<p>Those interested in purchasing tickets for the World Cup should know that <a href="http://www.theworldcupbrazil2014.com/world-cup-tickets-to-go-on-sale-on-august-2013/">world cup tickets will go on sale on August 2013</a>.</p>
<p>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;</p>

<p>Today&#8217;s blog post consolidates texts from all our sources on Brazil, including this <strong>Brazil Travel Blog</strong> but also <strong>D Airfare</strong> and <strong>the World Cup Brazil 2014</strong>. This is a summary of blog posts published during the month of November. As we embarked on a trip during the period, November was a shorter-than-usual month at the blog. </p>
<p>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;<br />
<strong>Brazil Travel Blog</strong></p>
<p>We opened the month with an <a href="http://www.braziltravelblog.com/2011/11/02/institutional-videos-rio-de-janeiro/">institutional video on Rio de Janeiro</a>.</p>
<p>Our series of weekly photos showed <a href="http://www.braziltravelblog.com/2011/11/04/weekly-shot-surfing-the-dunes/">Brazilians surfing the dunes</a> and a corner of <a href="http://www.braziltravelblog.com/2011/11/11/weekly-shot-central-europe-in-brazil/">Central Europe in Brazil</a></p>
<p>We traveled to Noronha with our friend Gabriel to see the <a href="http://www.braziltravelblog.com/2011/11/07/diving-in-noronha-pictures-from-our-friend-gabriel/">pictures he took while diving in Noronha</a>.</p>
<p>We returned to the Pantanal for a <a href="http://www.braziltravelblog.com/2011/11/09/birdwatching-in-the-pantanal/">birdwatching photo season</a>.</p>
<p>We revisited the largest Brazilian city in two opposing entries: <a href="http://www.braziltravelblog.com/2011/11/28/five-reasons-to-love-sao-paulo/">five reasons to love São Paulo</a> and <a href="http://www.braziltravelblog.com/2011/11/30/five-reasons-to-hate-sao-paulo/">five reasons to hate São Paulo</a>.</p>
<p>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;<br />
<strong>D Airfare</strong></p>
<p>Brazil could be the destination for yet another 5-star airline, as we discovered at <a href="http://www.dairfare.com/cathay-pacific-on-its-way-to-brazil/">Cathay Pacific on its way to Brazil?</a></p>
<p>American Airlines is launching <a href="http://www.dairfare.com/american-airlines-launching-daily-rio-to-new-york-flight/">a daily Rio to New York flight</a>.</p>
<p>Two companies with a long history such as KLM and Lufthansa <a href="http://www.dairfare.com/klm-and-lufthansa-back-in-rio-de-janeiro/">are back in Rio de Janeiro</a>.</p>

<p><a href="http://www.dairfare.com/gols-rosario-to-porto-alegre-flight-to-become-daily/">Gol’s Rosario to Porto Alegre flight to become daily</a> during the holiday season.</p>
<p>A recent study revealed how <a href="http://www.dairfare.com/rio-sao-paulo-the-most-expensive-flight-connection-in-the-world/">Rio-São Paulo is the most expensive flight connection in the world</a>.</p>
<p>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;<br />
<strong>The World Cup Brazil</strong></p>
<p>We had a look at the essence of the World Cup at <a href="http://www.theworldcupbrazil2014.com/an-endless-dispute-fifa-and-the-brazilian-government/">an endless dispute: FIFA and the Brazilian government</a>.</p>
<p>And finally, <a href="http://www.theworldcupbrazil2014.com/caxirola-the-brazilian-vuvuzela-is-launched/">Caxirola, the Brazilian vuvuzela </a>was launched.<br />

<p>We&#8217;ve spent the few days of the month away from home and for that reason our monthly summary arrives a few days late. Today&#8217;s blog post consolidates texts from all our sources on Brazil, including this <strong>Brazil Travel Blog</strong> but also <strong>D Airfare</strong> and <strong>the World Cup Brazil 2014</strong>.</p>
<p><strong>Brazil Travel Blog</strong></p>
<p>We began the month with a video <a href="http://www.braziltravelblog.com/2011/09/05/welcome-to-sao-paulo/">welcoming everyone to São Paulo</a>. Still in São Paulo, we warned of the problems associated with <a href="http://www.braziltravelblog.com/2011/09/07/breathing-in-sao-paulos-polluted-atmosphere/">breathing in São Paulo’s polluted atmosphere</a>.</p>
<p>We published a reminder for anyone visiting Rio de Janeiro at the end of September and beginning of October: <a href="http://www.braziltravelblog.com/2011/09/09/rock-in-rio-lands-in-rio-de-janeiro-this-month/">Rock in Rio lands in Rio de Janeiro this month</a>.</p>
<p>It is quite absurd but <a href="http://www.braziltravelblog.com/2011/09/12/buzios-wins-two-official-websites/">Búzios has now two official websites</a>.</p>
<p>We reminded everyone that <a href="http://www.braziltravelblog.com/2011/09/15/the-brazil-travel-blog-on-facebook/">the Brazil Travel Blog has been on Facebook</a> for quite a while. At our Facebook page we reply to your personal queries on all issues related to your forthcoming trip to Brazil.</p>
<p>In no time at all we will be in December, and Rio de Janeiro is well aware of the date: <a href="http://www.braziltravelblog.com/2011/09/19/work-begins-on-the-famous-rio-de-janeiros-christmas-tree/">work has begun on the city&#8217;s Christmas tree</a>.</p>
<p>We had already warned about the dry season in Brasilia, and after reading that <a href="http://www.braziltravelblog.com/2011/09/21/brasilia-100-rainless-days/">Brasilia hadn&#8217;t seen any rain for 100 days</a> we felt it necessary to repeat the warning.</p>
<p>Those who couldn&#8217;t make it to Rio had the chance to watch <a href="http://www.braziltravelblog.com/2011/09/23/rock-in-rio-live-on-youtube/">Rock in Rio live on YouTube</a>.</p>
<p>Truly an unusual sight, as <a href="http://www.braziltravelblog.com/2011/09/26/rhinos-take-the-streets-of-sao-paulo/">rhinos take the streets of São Paulo</a>.</p>
<p>Once again we issued a health warning as <a href="http://www.braziltravelblog.com/2011/09/28/rio-de-janeiro-on-the-verge-of-its-worse-dengue-fever-epidemic-in-history/">Rio de Janeiro is on the verge of its worse dengue fever epidemic in history</a>.</p>
<p>If fun and action is what you&#8217;re after, you&#8217;ll find it if you head to <a href="http://www.braziltravelblog.com/2011/09/30/folianopolis-massive-party-from-12-to-14-november/">Folianópolis where a massive party will take place from 12 to 14 November</a>.</p>
<p><strong>D Airfare</strong></p>
<p>Singapore Airlines offered <a href="http://www.dairfare.com/singapore-airlines-with-special-fares-to-fly-from-brazil-to-spain/">special fares to fly from Brazil to Spain</a>. British Airways and Iberia <a href="http://www.dairfare.com/british-airways-and-iberia-include-their-brazilian-flights-in-their-code-share-agreements/">included their Brazilian flights in their code-share agreements</a>.</p>
<p>American Airlines has plans for two new Brazilian destinations, <a href="http://www.dairfare.com/american-airlines-in-manaus-and-porto-alegre/">Manaus and Porto Alegre</a>.</p>
<p>Iberia is up to no good again and has just <a href="http://www.dairfare.com/iberia-cancels-its-madrid-to-fortaleza-and-recife-flight/">canceled its Madrid to Fortaleza and Recife flight</a>.</p>
<p>Turkish Airlines <a href="http://www.dairfare.com/turkish-airlines-wants-to-fly-buenos-aires-sao-paulo-istanbul/">wants to fly Buenos Aires-São Paulo-Istanbul</a>.</p>
<p>Good news for aviation fans as <a href="http://www.dairfare.com/emirates-a380-gets-permission-to-fly-to-brazil/">Emirates’ A380 gets permission to fly to Brazil</a>.</p>
<p>A new international flight will connect Brazil to one of its neighbours, as <a href="http://www.dairfare.com/aerosur-to-fly-from-bolivia-to-rio-branco-in-acre/">Aerosur plans to fly from Bolivia to Rio Branco in Acre</a>.</p>
<p>For those interested in that type of stuff, we published up-to-date figures on the <a href="http://www.dairfare.com/the-domestic-aviation-market-figures-for-august-2011/">domestic aviation market</a>.</p>
<p>Those intending to fly from Uruguay to Brazil will be glad to know that <a href="http://www.dairfare.com/pluna-adds-a-second-daily-flight-to-its-montevideo-campinas-route/">Pluna is adding a second daily flight to its Montevideo-Campinas route</a>.</p>
<p>Two important players in the southern hemisphere come together as <a href="http://www.dairfare.com/agreement-between-gol-and-aerolineas-argentinas/">Gol and Aerolíneas Argentinas sign an agreement</a>.</p>
<p><strong>The World Cup Brazil</strong></p>
<p>Thanks to <a href="http://www.theworldcupbrazil2014.com/fortaleza-stadium-a-virtual-walkthrough/">a virtual walkthrough</a> we were able to see what the Fortaleza stadium for the World Cup will look like.</p>
<p>A recurrent theme in the blog is the <a href="http://www.theworldcupbrazil2014.com/the-world-cup-opener-in-sao-paulo-see-360-images-of-its-new-stadium/">the World Cup opener in São Paulo</a>. We saw 360º images of its new stadium.</p>
<p>Seems hard to believe, but we are only <a href="http://www.theworldcupbrazil2014.com/the-world-cup-brazil-is-1000-days-away/">1,000 days away form the World Cup</a>. It seemed the right time to have a look at <a href="http://www.theworldcupbrazil2014.com/building-the-world-cup-stadiums-progress-report/">a progress report on how the building of the World Cup stadiums is advancing</a>.</p>

<p>August is over and it is time to look back at the stories published during the month. From now, our monthly summary of blog posts will consolidate texts from all our sources on Brazil, including this <strong>Brazil Travel Blog</strong> but also <strong>D Airfare</strong> and <strong>the World Cup Brazil 2014</strong>.</p>
<p><strong>Brazil Travel Blog</strong></p>
<p>Always concerned with traveling costs, we learned that <a href="http://www.braziltravelblog.com/2011/08/04/natal-the-most-expensive-capital-in-northeast-brazil/">Natal is the most expensive capital in Northeast Brazil</a>.</p>
<p>We found out which are the <a href="http://www.braziltravelblog.com/2011/08/08/the-brazilian-states-most-visited-by-foreign-tourists/">the Brazilian states most visited by foreign tourists</a>, and found a few surprises along the way.</p>
<p>We compiled an <a href="http://www.braziltravelblog.com/2011/08/15/the-amazon-an-index-of-blog-posts/">index of blog posts on the Amazon region</a>. Still on the region, we were amazed to learn that <a href="http://www.braziltravelblog.com/2011/08/18/googles-street-view-goes-to-the-amazon-region/">Google’s Street View is going to the Amazon region!</a></p>
<p>Another Google topic, as you can now check <a href="http://www.braziltravelblog.com/2011/08/22/the-weather-in-google-maps-for-brazil-and-the-rest-of-the-world/">the weather in Google Maps – for Brazil and the rest of the world</a></p>
<p>Finally, great news for Rio, the city might be gaining <a href="http://www.braziltravelblog.com/2011/08/29/the-london-eye-to-have-a-counterpart-in-rio-de-janeiro/">a counterpart for the London Eye</a>.</p>
<p><strong>D Airfare</strong></p>
<p>On our blog on aviation news we warned that <a href="http://www.dairfare.com/lan-to-cease-its-lima-to-brasilia-flight/">Lan is to cease its Lima to Brasilia flight</a>. </p>
<p>We learned that <a href="http://www.dairfare.com/turkish-to-add-a-fifth-istanbul-sao-paulo-flight-in-2012/">Turkish is to add a fifth Istanbul-São Paulo flight in 2012</a>. </p>
<p>Another airline quitting Brazil is <a href="http://www.dairfare.com/el-al-to-cease-its-flights-to-brazil/">El Al, ceasing its flights to Brazil</a>. </p>
<p><a href="http://www.dairfare.com/aerolineas-argentinas-announcing-mendoza-sao-paulo-flight-via-cordoba/">Aerolíneas Argentinas announced Mendoza-São Paulo flight (via Córdoba)</a>, without a definite launch date yet. </p>
<p>Tam is <a href="http://www.dairfare.com/tam-selling-tickets-for-its-new-mexico-city-flight-from-usd830/">selling tickets for its new Mexico City flight, from USD830</a> and has also entered an <a href="http://www.dairfare.com/interline-agreement-between-tam-and-jetblue/">interline agreement with JetBlue</a>. </p>
<p>Excellent news for European travellers as <a href="http://www.dairfare.com/singapore-airlines-to-make-its-sao-paulo-barcelona-a-daily-flight/">Singapore Airlines intends to make its São Paulo-Barcelona a daily flight</a>.</p>
<p><strong>The World Cup Brazil 2014</strong></p>
<p>On our site on the forthcoming football world cup we learned that <a href="http://www.theworldcupbrazil2014.com/brazil-will-only-play-at-the-largest-stadia/">Brazil will only play at the largest stadia</a>.</p>
<p>We saw a video with <a href="http://www.theworldcupbrazil2014.com/video-tourist-sights-at-the-state-of-amazonas/">the tourist sights at the state of Amazonas</a>.</p>
<p>Pelé is on the news as he has been appointed <a href="http://www.theworldcupbrazil2014.com/pele-2014-world-cup-honorary-ambassador/">2014 World Cup Honorary Ambassador</a>.</p>
<p>Finally, <a href="http://www.theworldcupbrazil2014.com/the-new-sao-paulo-stadium-gets-the-fifa-go-ahead/">the new São Paulo stadium got the FIFA go-ahead</a>.</p>

<p>What with a week of holidays in between, we ended up with a montly summary covering two months of blogging activity.</p>
<p>We begin the month searching for <a href="http://www.braziltravelblog.com/2011/06/06/the-perfect-cup-of-coffee-in-rio-de-janeiro/">the perfect cup of coffee in Rio de Janeiro</a>.</p>
<p>Then we had a look at an institutional video on <a href="http://www.braziltravelblog.com/2011/06/09/institutional-videos-rio-grande-do-sul/">Rio Grande do Sul</a>. A few weeks later came another video, this time on the sights at the <a href="http://www.braziltravelblog.com/2011/07/14/institutional-videos-state-of-amazonas/">state of Amazonas</a>.</p>
<p>Rio fans will be delighted to find out what are <a href="http://www.braziltravelblog.com/2011/06/13/rio-de-janeiros-top-10-according-to-the-bbc-lonely-planet/">Rio de Janeiro’s top 10 attractions – according to the BBC &#038; Lonely Planet</a>.</p>
<p>For those attending the largest gay parade in the world we published the blog post <a href="http://www.braziltravelblog.com/2011/06/16/sao-paulos-gay-parade-the-largest-in-the-world/">São Paulo’s gay parade, the largest in the world</a>.</p>
<p>We found an excellent source of information for those interested in finding out more about <a href="http://www.braziltravelblog.com/2011/06/21/riverboats-across-the-amazon-schedules-timetables/">riverboats across the Amazon – schedules / timetables</a>.</p>
<p>If you are planning to visit Paraty in July, be aware of the <a href="http://www.braziltravelblog.com/2011/06/24/paraty-international-literary-festival-from-6-to-10-july-2011/">Paraty International Literary Festival, from 6 to 10 July 2011</a>.</p>
<p>There&#8217;s news of a <a href="http://www.braziltravelblog.com/2011/06/27/double-decker-hop-on-hop-off-tourist-bus-for-rio-de-janeiro/">double-decker hop on-hop off tourist bus for Rio de Janeiro</a>.</p>
<p>We went back to Brasilia for a walk along the <a href="http://www.braziltravelblog.com/2011/07/07/brasilia-wonders-the-esplanada-dos-ministerios/">Esplanada dos Ministérios in Brasilia</a>.</p>
<p>We were sad to discover <a href="http://www.braziltravelblog.com/2011/07/11/the-dark-side-of-fernando-de-noronha/">the dark side of Fernando de Noronha</a>.</p>
<p>We saw how Rio de Janeiro is marketing itself as <a href="http://www.braziltravelblog.com/2011/07/18/rio-the-janeiro-world-capital-of-gay-tourism/">world capital of gay tourism</a>.</p>
<p>We mentioned costs once again at <a href="http://www.braziltravelblog.com/2011/07/25/since-2003-the-value-of-brazilian-real-has-increased-122-percent-against-the-once-mighty-dollar/">since 2003, the value of Brazilian real has increased 122 percent against the once mighty dollar</a>.</p>
<p>Check our blog post <a href="http://www.braziltravelblog.com/2007/03/22/when-to-visit-month-by-month/">when to visit Brazil, month by month</a> to see which destinations are recommended for the coming month and which ones are best avoided.</p>
