Read the original at http://www.braziltravelblog.com/2009/09/28/links-maceio/. If you find this text at a location other than the Brazil Travel Blog it is an unauthorized use of the blog material.

To make up for the absence on this blog of a specific destination card devoted to Maceió, I am publishing a blog entry with links to sites of interest.

PORTALS

There are two portals with complete information on Maceió: <a href="http://www.maceioturismo.com.br/"target=" blank" >Maceió Turismo and <a href="http://www.turismomaceio.com.br/"target=" blank" >Turismo Maceió (with an English version). They have the usual travel tips with acommodation listings and other useful information.

OTHER LINKS

Might be worth having a look at <a href="http://www.maceioconvention.com.br/"target=" blank">Maceió Convention and Visitors Bureau‘s website. It claims a non-existent English version so it will only be of help to those fluent in Portuguese.

WEATHER

Average rainfall and temperatures for Maceió at <a href="http://weather.msn.com/monthly_averages.aspx?wealocations=wc:BRXX0143&q=Macei%C3%B3%2c+BRA+forecast:averagesm"target=" blank">weather.msn.com.

VIOLENCE

In recent years Maceió has become the most violent of all Brazilian capitals, with murder rates well above those of Rio de Janeiro or São Paulo. You are advice to seek local information about the safety of in the area where you’re staying.
